Styles of Travel

Overlanding - Travelling ‘overland’ is an adventurous and exciting way to see the sights, meet the cultures, and feel the soul and rhythm of Africa. The roads can be rough, driving times long and there can be lengthy delays. In a self-sufficient vehicle, they carry everything, including camping and cooking equipment and get off the beaten track to the real Africa.

Small Group Adventures - Perfect for those short on time, but wanting tours high on activity and to see as many attractions as possible. Get closer to the action, away from the crowds, book optional activities easier and make less impact on the local environment. Min 2 pax, max 16.

Adventure Tours - Designed to cater for all levels, from the ‘laid back’ to the extreme. The activities include white water rafting, bungy jumping, 4-wheel driving, sky-diving and gorge swinging. For the more sedate there is horse riding, elephant back safaris, and cultural, canoe safaris, trekking and beach getaways and safaris for the whole family.

Lodge and Tented Safaris - Combine excellent game viewing with a touch of luxury at an affordable price! Acacia lodges and tented camps have been carefully selected for their character, design, service and cuisine. Their itineraries combine quality accommodation with the best things to see and do, many safaris include game activities such as game walks and drives whilst others are designed purely for those wishing to relax in stunning African locations.

Many of the lodges have game viewing decks and a swimming pool.

A tented camp is designed to give you that rustic feeling of camping in Africa without doing the hard work yourself.

Fly-In Safaris - Africa is a vast continent and fly in safaris are a great way to save time avoiding sometimes long, uncomfortable and arduous journeys. With these specially designed tours you can fly into remote and untouched parts of Africa direct to experience incredible African safaris and beach breaks.

Self Drive - With well developed roads and infrastructure, southern Africa is ideal for self driving tours. These tours give you the flexibility to explore this part of Africa at your own. Overnight stops are flexible, with a voucher system in place. Maps, directions and suggested itineraries are provided along with a 24hr help line.

City & Short Stays - For those who are interested in the historical and cultural aspects of the cities and surrounding districts, these short stays offer the visitor the chance to enjoy and explore the area and take in the sights and activities available. Discover city breaks in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Nairobi and Cairo, or catch some rays in Zanzibar, Pemba, Mozambique and Victoria Falls.
